The PSYCHIC BATTERY Model is an interesting way to examine key aspects concerning the island electromagnetics.... Consider the Black-Rock, magnetite-infused, electromagmetically-charged island as one giant floating/moving BATTERY, producing weird and powerful electromagnetic fields, enabling a range of weird phenomena, including Casimir-Effect-enabled time travel, the William Gibsonian dream of a medium (in this case, an energy field) enabling IMMORTALITY of the soul, the operation and sustenance of a GAIA, Overmind-like sentience-- potentially based on a collective of 'crossed-over' souls/minds (JACOB), the operation and flow of the brown NILE/GANGES watery goo-mind-- more than just a simple communication medium!, and more (please see my "HEMA Science" and "HEMA Carrie" postings in this regard....)
And how interesting to consider the energetic substrate undergirding the karmic recycling of Lost souls in the context of positive and negative energy exchange through good and evil souls moving from corporeal to ethereal planes of existence on the island.... It would indeed be interesting to identify the precise spots on the island corresponding to the POSITIVE poles on the psychic battery (CATHODES) as well as those sites corresponding to the NEGATIVE poles on the battery (ANODES).... as multiple Cathode/Anode Dipoles may in fact exist on the island, producing weird and powerful overlapping electromagnetic fields, giving rise in MOIRE-like fashion to the CASIMIR EFFECT and other exotic energy properties/anomalies....
Hmmm.... Where have the life/health GIVING aspects of the island been imparted/located? (Rose's beach healing 'hot spot', etc.) And where have the life/health TAKING incidents occurred? Could it be that the DHARMA Initiative miscalculated and placed the compound on a Negative pole on the island battery?
Or, more precisely, was the compound site fine until and after the famed INCIDENT which, among other things, produced a marked 'spike' in the SWAN HATCH 'CATHODE' energy level and a similarly pronounced 'spike' in the corresponding 'ANODE' negative end of that island dipole, a giant life/health sucking sound black hole of an energy drain, located at the site of.... The Compound.... in turn, contributing to the post-Incident difficulties associated with mothers carrying to term, without first dying?.... Hmmm.... What if mothers were to camp out on Rose's island/cathode/'hot spot'? And what was in the syringes when Ethan and Juliet administered injections to CLAIRE?
Yes, the PSYCHIC BATTERY Model sheds some additional light on the nature and necessity of the Swan Hatch number-punching.... serving the vital role of discharging the periodic 'spike'/build-up at the SWAN HATCH 'CATHODE' the positive, energy discharging pole on one of the island's multiple electromagnetic dipoles, with the ANODE of that very dipole serving as that life/health-sucking 'black hole' electromagnetic equivalent... at The COMPOUND!
And what about the spot which lies in the shadow of the Four-Toed-Statue? Is that spot a combination embarkation/debarkation site, enabling spacetime traveling via the Earth's energy grid/vile vortex, between the island and Egypt?
Or, consistent with the predominant TAWERET interpretation of the statue's identity, is that spot an energy/life/health giving positive/cathode/hot spot?
